At 19 years young, this girl has a lot of trail miles left in her! She is very sure-footed on mountain trails, has traversed the Gila backcountry, and been on a few hunting trips. She is a dominant mare and needs a riding partner with confidence.
Mandy is a beautiful Dun with flaxen highlights in her mane and tail, dorsal stripe with cross, and primitive stripes on her legs. She is currently barefoot, but she would need shoes in any rough terrain. She has experienced a few abscesses in her hooves recently, so we are monitoring weight and doing regular bloodwork to check for EMS (negative so far). She will need to maintain a low sugar diet, but she may be just fine with regular exercise.
If you are looking for your next trail partner, Mandy could be the one to take you on some amazing adventures!
